Following a lifelong interest in martial arts, I finally found the courage to step onto the dojo floor in 2019 and begin my karate journey. What started as a personal challenge quickly became a passion, and I immersed myself in training with focus and determination.
Then, in early 2020, the world changed. As the pandemic hit and lockdowns were enforced, in-person training came to a halt—but the spirit of karate endured. Our dojo adapted, and we continued training online via Zoom, kicking and kiai-ing from the living room. It wasn’t always easy, but it taught me resilience, discipline, and the importance of community.
Today, karate has become a true family affair. I now train alongside my son and daughter, sharing this journey with them and watching as we grow together—individually and as a team. Karate has given us more than just physical skills; it’s brought us closer, teaching us patience, respect, and the value of perseverance.
Our journey continues, and I’m grateful for every step—past, present, and still to come.
